Reflection
What was your initial reaction when this project was introduced during team time?: I was really excited because I saw the last team's videos and I was ready to make my own. I was already coming up with ideas and lyrics.
How did the research and writing in Ross' class support the creation of your video?: Without the research we did we wouldn't have any idea of what to write in our lyrics! The research was essential to making the video and I'm glad my group did such a good job learning about their historical figure.
How did you feel about your final project and your video as a whole?: I am super proud and happy with my group. We all did such a great job and I think they all made it one of the best.
My production and pre-production role: I was mainly an actor so during production that was what I was mainly doing. After however, I did a lot of editing and supported my video editors because editing it in a week was no small task.
Advice to future students: I would say DO YOUR RESEARCH. It might not be the most enjoyable part but you need to get it done. The more information you have to work with the more ideas for lyrics and costumes. Also manage your time wisely. It seems to be a trend that some of the better videos are the ones that get done first. This is because the group is efficient and get what needs to be done, done. And for the actors; put some heart and soul into your video! Nothing says a boring waste of time like an actor thats not even trying. You have to start of strong with the audio and end strong with the video. It is what will make or break your video, pick actors that you know are going to work hard! And I don't care if you have fun I'm not going to get that cheesy. Good luck, you'll need it.
